This is one of my favorite photos of a student working in our library. Why? He's not at all encumbered by the question of print vs. digital resources. He's all about whatever works--truly a multimedia learning experience.

I also really love these kinds of photos. I do think that kids seem to be able (with our "education") to use materials appropriately. A teacher recently asked me for my recommendation of the kinds of resources kids needed to use for a certain project. I told her, like I tell the kids, that the kind of resource is not nearly so important as the kind of information in the source, whatever format it takes. The whole notion of "two books, three magazine articles and two web sites" drives me nuts.
