I couldn't agree more about the Seattle Public. It is cold and uninviting but there was something else about it that bothered me. It took be awhile to figure out that you never see any books. Even in the stack area the books take a back seat to the architecture. And the childrens area is anything but comfortable and inviting. Give me an old Carnegie Library any day.
